Adrenal Fatigue and Energy for Living
Energy and positivity are so basic that without them, we have difficulty with the simplest activities. Although it is estimated that 80% of Americans suffer adrenal fatigue at some time in their lives, it is one of the most underdiagnosed illnesses in the U.S. according to James Wilson, PhD, author of Adrenal Fatigue.
Adrenal fatigue, or hypoadrenia, is a deficiency in adrenal gland function. Extreme hypoadrenia is called Addison's disease, and is life-threatening if untreated. Hypoadrenia is not usually severe enough to be a medical emergency, but it can wreak havoc on your life. Some emotional effects include fears, anxiety, depression, memory loss and intolerance.
The physical effects can be even more debilitating such as difficulty getting out of bed, fatigue not relieved by sleep, decreased sex drive, dizziness when standing too quickly or decreased productivity. There are many health conditions associated with adrenal fatigue such as hypoglycemia, rheumatoid arthritis, respiratory infections and fibromyalgia.
In many alcoholics, adrenal fatigue and subsequent hypoglycemia predispose the person to a compulsive desire for alcohol. What causes people to suffer from this disease? Stress of modern living and the Standard American Diet are two culprits. Relief from adrenal deficiency comes from lifestyle changes, stress management and nutrition.
Anyone interested in learning how to balance adrenal functions can read the book mentioned above and another book by Alan Christianson called The Adrenal Reset Diet. To find out if you have adrenal imbalance, get a saliva hormone test or a full biofeedback evaluation. To look into biofeedback scans, contact Beata Molnar, Energy Healer. She will do an evaluation, use energy healing, PEMF technology and RIFE frequency applications to balance, heal and support adrenal function.
