Blue Lotus Meditation Center of Venice Asks for Help from Our Community

On July 7, the Blue Lotus Meditation Center of Venice sustained severe damage to our building The roof of our Center collapsed as a result of Tropical Storm Elsa. The building is now devastated by this roof collapse due to flooding water and falling debris. It is unusable and the county has condemned the whole building.

The Blue Lotus Buddhist Meditation Center has provided space for meditation, dharma talks, yoga, Reiki, Tai Chi, and other healing practices and wellness programs in our community. We work to carry on the tradition of the Venice Holistic Center, a valued community resource previously housed in this building for more than eight years.

Our hearts are deeply troubled by this current setback, but we are all deeply committed to restoring a vital community resource for all of you. Our teachers are looking for new temporary venues to hold their classes, and some classes are back on Zoom.
