New Acupuncture Physician Returns to Sarasota
Dr. Jen Maecker is a board-certified Acupuncture Physician and Chinese Medicine Herbalist. After four years of living in Asheville, North Carolina, Dr. Maecker and her family felt a calling to move back to their tight-knit community of family and friends in Sarasota. She is now accepting patients at her new clinic, Jen Maecker Acupuncture & Wellness.
A fundamental approach to Dr. Maecker’s patient care is offering a nurturing and safe space for healing to take place. She listens deeply to her patient’s needs to balance the body and promote health, wellness and recovery.
In addition, she empowers her patients to take health and wellness into their own hands by providing education in self-care, dietary therapy and mindful movement practices for stress relief. As a holistic health practitioner, Dr. Maecker’s treatments include various modalities to meet each patient’s comfort level.
The use of acupuncture needles, non-needle treatment techniques, herbal medicine, moxibustion, guasha, cupping, tuina massage and acupoint injection therapy provides her patients with a range of opportunities to promote harmony and balance in the body.
Dr. Maecker specializes in (but not limited to) acute and chronic pain management, depression, anxiety, stress management, pediatrics, adolescents, autoimmune conditions, insomnia, stroke rehabilitation and gastrointestinal disorders.
