Dance Alliance of Bradenton Dances Into Fall
Jul 31, 2023 03:05PM ● By Janet LindsayWith the summer nearly over, plans are underway for the Dance Alliance of Bradenton’s fall season. A Grand Re-Opening is in the works for National Dance Day on September 16, and both rehearsal and performance dates are currently being booked for the annual “Salute to America” shows in November, presented by That’s Dancing! Performance Company.
Auditions and rehearsals are also planned for holiday performances, including a Christmas show with the Bay Chorale at Neel Performing Arts Center. In February 2024, a cast of dancers will perform aboard the Royal Caribbean Enchantment of the Seas cruise ship as well, with rehearsals starting in late December.
In addition, the search is on for more dance and fitness entrepreneurs as Dance Alliance of Brandon continues to offer a diverse list of classes for adults. There have been multiple requests for Yoga, Yoga-lates and Line Dancing Classes, and the Alliance is open to offering more variety to the current schedule.
As of right now, the class options include Jazzercise, DivaDance and Bellydance with Jennifer Warren, as well as Hawaiian and Polynesian Dance, Broadway Tap and Broadway Jazz with award-winning choreographer Bonnie Gray. Each Alliance Member runs their own businesses, while sharing a common studio space with everything an educator would want in a convenient location off SR64, just west of I-75.
The studio has a gorgeous 1300-square feet suspended maple floor, waiting area space, dressing room, instructor lockers and storage, ballet barres and a wall of mirrors. In addition, there’s a Smart TV, DVD player, state-of-the-art sound system and even a kitchenette. The space is an excellent venue for small performances and for party rentals, with chairs and tables on site. Come take a class with us—all of our memberships include a free trial class.
Location: 862 62nd St. Cir. E, #103, Bradenton. For general information and to view the class schedule, visit https://danceallianceofbradenton.com/ or email [email protected]. For more information on upcoming performances, call 727-707-0199 or email Bonnie Gray at [email protected].
